The Main Street Inn is one block away from downtown Vermillion's bar and restaurants. It is walking distance to the University of South Dakota and the local water park. Local music, hunting, river activities, and university events regularly bring people into town for business, recreation, or leisure.
The Main Street Inn was recently renovated and previously home to the Beta Theta Pi and Sigma Nu fraternities. The building includes a large lobby and dining room capable of hosting reunions or small weddings. Inside you will find five bedrooms, each with private bathrooms, that are well furnished and decorated in the Arts & Crafts style.

We loved our stay at the Inn. The location was perfect, and the Inn was beautifully redone from top to bottom. It had a warm and inviting atmosphere, and Carson was the perfect host. Breakfast was amazing! We were in Vermilion to see our granddaughter perform in the high school band competition. Thank you for your warm hospitality, Carson!

Main Street Inn offered a high quality experience for us. Stay time was 4 days. Excellent large rooms, location and service. The combination of private room & bath along with a main level dining room & library with access to an outside patio offered tremendous flexibility for a large group of friends. Didn't have to meet at a bar, restaurant or coffee shop to relax. The owners know what they are doing and focus on the customer. We reserved another date before leaving. You'll not be disappointed.
This Bed and Breakfast was amazing. The building was wonderfully restored and improved. The breakfast in the morning and the overall service was great and Carson was an amazing host. We're excited to come back again soon!
Stayed one night and would have loved to stay several more! Beautiful restored B&B, immaculately clean and hosts that go out of the way to make your stay nothing short of top notch. I plan to stay again and look forward to everything they have to offer.
The Main Street Inn is the most centrally located place to stay in Vermillion, SD.
You will be walking distance to all the small town coffee shops, clothing outlets, book stores, restaurants, and bars to the West of the Main Street Inn. A mile further is Valiant Vineyard's Winery and Distillery for wine and whiskey tastings.
Walk three blocks North and you will be at USD's beautiful campus, home of the National Music Museum, Dakota Dome, and new Wellness Center.
A few blocks East will take you to the city's Founder's Park flower garden and Prentis Park, which includes a water park, frisbee golf, horseshoes, baseball field, and basketball courts. Both are great places for outdoor weddings and events. A mile further East is Vermillion's the Bluff's Golf Course.
South will take you to our city's walking paths around Vermillion river. Further South by car, a local favorite, Whimp's restaurant will treat you to broasted chicken.
